Frank Lloyd Wright Home
and Studio Tour

Admit One TicketIncluded Entry with the Go Chicago Card

Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio Tour This unusual complex served as Wright’s private residence and studio for the first 20 years of his career, 1889–1909. Wright used his home as an architectural laboratory, trying out design concepts before sharing them with clients. Here, he raised six children with his first wife, Catherine Tobin, and designed such famous buildings as the Robie House, Larkin Building and Unity Temple. The area surrounding the Home and Studio contains the world’s largest concentration of Wright-designed structures. With 25 of his buildings in the village, as well as a rich selection of restored Prairie School and Victorian homes, Oak Park is a virtual outdoor museum of architectural history. Guided museum tours and self-guided audio neighborhood walks are available.

Note: Redeem the Go Chicago Card at the Home and Studio Museum Shop in the courtyard located at 951 Chicago Avenue. Tickets are subject to availability and there may be a wait. Arrive before noon for the best chance of accommodation.

Tip: Tours often sell out early on holidays and weekends, especially April–October.

Wheelchair access is limited to the lower level.
